How to convert WebP to JPG
Drop your .webp files into the box above.
JPG is selected; set the quality (90% is a great default).
Click Convert and download the JPGs or a ZIP.
Why do I get WebP images?
Most websites now serve images as WebP because the files are smaller and pages load faster. When you right-click and save, you get a .webp file — and older software, some photo viewers, many upload forms and printing services still don’t accept it. JPG is the universal fix: it opens in every program, phone and website.
WebP to JPG or WebP to PNG?
Choose JPG for photos — smaller files and maximum compatibility. Choose WebP to PNG if the image has a transparent background (a logo, a sticker, an icon) or contains sharp text, because JPG has no transparency.
Please respect copyright: converting an image doesn’t give you the right to reuse it.
Frequently asked questions
How do I convert WebP to JPG for free?
Drop the WebP file into the tool above and click Convert. It’s free, with no sign-up, and the image never leaves your device.
Why can’t I open a WebP file?
Some older programs and services don’t support WebP. Converting it to JPG makes it open everywhere.
Does WebP to JPG lose quality?
Very little at 90% quality. If the WebP has transparency, it is filled with the background colour you choose.
Can I convert animated WebP?
Only the first frame is converted; JPG can’t store animation.
