How to Add a Logo to a Photo in Canva
Canva is one of the most popular ways to add a logo to an image for social media. It takes a few clicks per design — here’s the cleanest way to do it, and what to do when you have dozens of photos to brand.
Quick answer
Open your photo in a Canva design, go to Uploads, upload your logo and click it to add it. Resize it, drag it to a corner (or use Position), and lower the Transparency slider if you want it subtle. Download via Share → Download.
How to put your logo on a photo in Canva
-
Open your photo in Canva
Click Create a design → Edit photo and choose your image, or start a design at your photo’s size and add the photo to it.
-
Upload your logo
Open Uploads in the left panel and click Upload files. Choose a PNG with a transparent background if you have one.
-
Add and resize the logo
Click the uploaded logo to add it to the design, then drag a corner handle to resize it (corners keep the proportions).
-
Place it in a corner
Drag it into position or use Position in the toolbar to align it to the top, bottom, left or right of the page. Leave a small margin from the edge.
-
Adjust transparency (optional)
Click the Transparency (checkerboard) icon and lower the value for a watermark effect, or keep 100 for a solid logo.
-
Download
Click Share → Download, choose PNG or JPG and download.
Save your logo for next time
On paid plans you can store your logo in the Brand Kit so it’s available in every design. On the free plan, it stays in Uploads. Tip: group your logo with any text (Ctrl/Cmd + G) so you can copy and paste the whole block between designs.
Logo with a white background?
Canva’s Background Remover is a paid feature. A free alternative: in WatermarkOn, tick Make white background transparent after choosing your JPG logo — the white disappears automatically.
Adding your logo to many photos
Canva is designed around individual designs, so branding 50 product photos means 50 designs. With Add logo to image you choose your logo once, drop in all your photos and download a ZIP with your logo on every one — at each photo’s original size, and without uploading anything.
The faster way: add your logo without Canva
Canva works, but you repeat the process for every file. WatermarkOn applies the same logo to all your images and PDFs in one pass, directly in your browser:
- Open WatermarkOn and click “Choose logo” (a transparent PNG gives the cleanest edges; for JPG logos tick “Make white background transparent”).
- Drop in all the photos or PDFs you want to brand.
- Set the logo size, opacity (100% for a solid logo) and position — a corner preset, a percentage, or an exact pixel distance from any corner.
- Click “Add watermark” and download each file or everything as a ZIP.
