How to watermark product photos

  1. Choose your shop logo, or switch to Text and type your shop name or URL.
  2. Add all your product photos.
  3. Place the watermark in a corner that doesn’t cover the product, at 70–90% opacity.
  4. Export (JPG or WebP) and download everything as a ZIP.

Marketplace rules to keep in mind

Marketplaces have their own image policies. For example, Amazon’s main product image generally must not contain logos or watermarks, and other platforms have rules for the first or main image. Watermark your secondary images, social media posts and your own website freely, and check the current rules of each marketplace for the main photo.

Frequently asked questions

Should I watermark my Etsy photos?
Many sellers add a small, subtle logo or shop name to protect their photos from being copied. Keep it discreet so it doesn’t hurt the look of the listing.
Can I add my shop name as text instead of a logo?
Yes, choose the Text watermark type and type your shop name or URL.
