Which method should you choose?
Every app handles watermarks differently. Office tools like Word and Google Docs have a built-in watermark feature for documents, while PowerPoint and Google Slides need a workaround through the slide master. Image editors such as Photoshop, GIMP and Photopea give you full control but require several manual steps per image, and only Lightroom Classic offers a real “apply on export” watermark for photo batches. Excel has no watermark feature at all and needs a header-picture trick.
Want your logo rather than a watermark? See how to add a logo in Canva, Photoshop, Word and PowerPoint, or use our add logo to image tool.
If your goal is simply to protect or brand finished files — photos, exported slides, PDFs — a dedicated tool is faster: our free tool to add a watermark to images and PDFs handles them in bulk, with text or logo, opacity, rotation, tiling and precise positioning, without installing anything.
