Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 16, 2026
This policy explains what data WatermarkOn (watermarkon.com) processes, why, and your rights. The short version: we never receive your files. The only personal data involved is the standard technical data any website handles, plus cookies used by analytics and advertising, which you control.
1. Your images and PDFs: never uploaded, never stored
We do not receive, upload, store, copy, analyse or share the files you watermark — photos, images, PDF documents, logos or the results.
- Processing happens on your device. Your browser reads the file locally and applies the watermark with code running on your computer or phone. The file never travels over the internet.
- Our server cannot accept files. The website has no upload endpoint or file storage and rejects any request that tries to send it data.
- Ads and analytics never see your files. The advertising and analytics services described below only measure visits and serve ads; our code never passes your files, their names or their contents to them.
- Nothing persists. Files and results exist only in your browser’s memory while the page is open.
2. Who is responsible
The data controller is the owner of WatermarkOn, identified in the legal notice. Contact: info@watermarkon.com.
3. Data we process and why
- Server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested, date and time), kept by our hosting provider for security and to operate the service. Legal basis: legitimate interest. Retention: limited period set by the hosting provider.
- Analytics (Google Analytics): aggregated statistics about visits and use of the site, such as pages viewed and number of files processed — never file names, contents or watermark text. Legal basis: your consent where required.
- Advertising (Google AdSense). See section 4. Legal basis: your consent where required.
- Emails you send us: we use them only to reply. Legal basis: your request.
- Settings stored in your browser: if you tick “Remember my settings”, your watermark settings (not your files or logo) are saved in your browser’s local storage. They never reach us.
4. Advertising and Google
This website shows ads served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies at aboutads.info.
- Learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
- In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, a consent message lets you accept or reject these cookies; you can change your choice at any time with “Privacy & cookie settings” at the bottom of every page.
Google may process data outside the EEA under appropriate safeguards (such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses). Details of every cookie are in our cookie policy.
5. Your rights
You can request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability or object to processing, and withdraw consent at any time, by writing to info@watermarkon.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority (in Spain, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos, aepd.es).
6. Children
The service is not directed at children under 14 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
7. Changes
We may update this policy; the date at the top shows the latest version.
