How to convert HEIC to JPG
Open this page in Safari on your iPhone, iPad or Mac.
Tap Choose files and select your HEIC photos (or drop them in on a Mac).
JPG is selected; tap Convert and download the JPGs or a ZIP.
Using Chrome, Edge or Firefox on Windows or Android? These browsers can’t read HEIC. Open the page in Safari, or set your iPhone to save JPG directly: Settings → Camera → Formats → Most Compatible. When you share or email photos from the iPhone, they are usually converted to JPG automatically too.
What is HEIC?
HEIC (High Efficiency Image Container) is the format iPhones use by default since iOS 11. It stores photos at about half the size of a JPG with the same quality — great for your phone’s storage, but Windows, many websites, online forms and printing services still don’t accept it. JPG is the format everything understands.
Private by design
Personal photos shouldn’t be uploaded to unknown converters. Here the conversion happens on your own device, inside Safari, and the location (GPS) data is removed from the JPGs. Want to protect your photos before sharing them? Add a watermark with our photo watermark tool.
