Good to know
Converting to PNG doesn’t bring back detail the JPG has already lost, and it doesn’t make the background transparent by itself. Expect the PNG to be larger than the JPG — that’s normal for a lossless format. If size matters more than editing, keep the JPG or convert to WebP.

Why is my PNG bigger than the JPG?
