How to convert PNG to WebP

  1. Drop your PNG images into the box above.
  2. WebP is selected. Use 85–95% quality for logos and graphics, 75–85% for photos.
  3. Click Convert and download the WebP files or a ZIP.

The best of PNG, in a smaller file

PNG is the usual choice for images with transparency — product cut-outs, logos, illustrations — but the files are large. WebP keeps the alpha channel and compresses much better, so the same image can be several times lighter. That means faster pages, less bandwidth and better Core Web Vitals.

When to keep PNG

Keep PNG for images you will continue editing, for print, or for apps that don’t support WebP yet (some older desktop software and email clients). For maximum compatibility with photos, PNG to JPG is the alternative — but JPG loses the transparency.
